POSTPONEMENT OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
16th March 2020
Dear Member
Association Annual General Meeting – Postponement
In light of the current situation regarding Coronavirus, the Officers of the Association, in consultation with Julian Smith, MP, have taken the decision that the Annual General Meeting which was to be held on Saturday 21st March at The Millstones, Skipton Road, Blubberhouses is to be postponed. Members will be notified of a new date when it is felt appropriate to resume gatherings.
Whilst writing, we would like to advise Members that Julian is working closely with local businesses and Government to ensure that the issues, worries and concerns of businesses in our Constituency are fully understood at the highest level of Government, and this will hopefully result in measures to help businesses and companies through this difficult and unprecedented time.
Julian and his office are also working with groups supporting the elderly and vulnerable. Any offers of support that members can give will be forwarded from the constituency office to Julian and shared with relevant groups in the constituency.
You may have also seen in the media that elections scheduled for May 2020 have been postponed and will now be held in May 2021. This will affect several Wards in the Craven District and also the Police and Crime Commissioner elections.
The office in Otley Street, Skipton will remain a contact point for the Association and we will continue to update you on Association events as and when they are re-scheduled.
With all good wishes,
Nick Bannister
Chairman
